Night Demon by Lisa Kessler

Hi everyone!  *waving*

I’m one of the Paranormal Unbound team, but this is my first post on the blog… I’m nervous! LOL  (And late, but shhh just between us! 🙂 )

I’m just finishing up the big Night Demon blog tour, so what better way than to bring it by the brand new blog, right?

I’ve always written paranormal fiction and actually cut my teeth publishing horror short stories. When I tried my hand at paranormal romance, I knew it would be dark with scary moments, and while I wanted to write about vampires, I wanted them to be “new”… In the end I researched ancient cultures in the Americas, and the Mayans were a perfect connection for my Night Walker world.

nightdemonNight Demon is the third release in the series, but it can be read as a stand alone…

BLURB – Deep within the Yucatan jungle, a demon has awakened…

Gretchen Finch’s job would be much easier if she weren’t alone in the jungle with a brilliant recluse whose every glance sets her on fire. But the more she focuses on her work, the closer she gets to unlocking the mysteries of a terrible creature—the Night Demon—that threatens the world as she knows it. Though her scientific mind tells her it’s impossible, she’s beginning to believe the ancient Mayan tales as the sinister jungle comes alive around her.

Lukas Smith has spent hundreds of years searching for answers to his immortal Night Walker nature. As a series of ancient glyphs become clear, he’s about to find out more than he’d ever hoped, but the more he learns, the more his fate intertwines with the Night Demon, and the harder it becomes to hide his immortal secret from the beautiful, intelligent Gretchen.

Together, they must find a way to stop the inexplicable violence and mass destruction surging across the earth before the Night Demon destroys more than just mankind.

All of my Night Series weaves in real mysteries from history and offers paranormal answers…  I hope you’ll check them out! 🙂

I’ll be giving away an eBook copy of Night Walker and Night Thief to one lucky commenter! 🙂  Just let me know what you love most about vampire romance…

Lisa 🙂

  1. Hi Lisa. I don’t see why you have anything to be nervous about. The new book sounds great and I look forward to reading it. At first I thought the demon was the romantic love interest, but after reading your blurb it sounds like there is a hunky vampire in that role. Yummy.

  2. Hi Lisa! I just wanted to pop in and say THANK YOU for sharing your wondrous stories with us readers. Don’t enter me in the contest as I already have all your books… You’re awesome!!!!!

  3. Your series is on my TBR pile. The excerpt looks great. I like vampires because I think about the history they must have experienced and their ability to adapt (or not!).

  4. Hi Lisa! I don’t think I’ve read any vampire romances before, most of the PNRs I’ve read have been shifter stories – I guess I’ve been missing a lot. I’d love to discover what’s so awesome about it from your book. :p

    • Hi Linda –

  5. Hi Lisa, I just love the covers for your books, and hope to get to read them soon. I love vampires because they are older, often wealthy and now how to enjoy their undead life. They cherish the woman who captures their heart. They are powerful and can be ruthless when needed.

  6. Hi Lisa…
