So you’re a nerdy,  young,  gay man out for a rocking good time on your birthday. You lay your hot little hands on a special invite to an exclusive sex club (as you do) only to find out that demonic shenanigans are afoot in the creepy basement of the establishment. Oh yeah, and then there’s this whole Kabbalah mysticism thing to unravel because you’ve “oopsie” found yourself in the middle of some sort of paranormal slave trade. Good guy that you are, you wanna be a hero and save the day. Meanwhile, you’re falling for  this demon but every time he touches you…weird things happen to your body.

Well… We all have off days, right?

Damon Suede is one of those authors who has a truly original, gritty voice that lends itself well to Urban Fantasy / Paranormal Romance. This story was an interesting read–novella length, but there’s a lot of thinking to be done in-between the pages in that amount of time. There’s Hebrew, there are myths and legends and mysteries to be solved. Even a little bit of sexy times. As what I believe is intended to be a first in a series of novellas and given a sexy .99 cent price tag, this was a very fun and worthwhile read.
