What We're Reading

What we’re reading – Patricia Briggs & Kelley Armstrong

Hey there Unbounders!

Lisa Kessler here!  I’ve been deep in the writing cave, but I do treat myself during lunch breaks to precious Kindle time.

Now that all the RITA and PRISM contest books are read and judged, I can sink back into my comfort zone with books and worlds I LOVE to lose myself in!

frost burnedI just finished FROST BURNED by Patricia Briggs. I love Mercy Thompson and I’m anxiously the next book in the connected Alpha & Omega series. I love the way she’s woven werewolves and fae into our current world and the politics involved in that. The magic of both the Pack and the Fae is always fun and intriguing for me to read.

And now I’ve finally backtracked to reading the risingthe final book in Kelley Armstrong’s YA Trilogy, THE RISING! I’ve heard this group of teens will meet up with the original group from the Darkest Powers trilogy so I’m very excited! 🙂

Do you have any authors or series that you LOVE to sink back into? I feel like I’m catching up with old friends!

Happy reading!

  1. Love Patricia Briggs, Ilona Andrews, Lora Leigh, Christine Feehan, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Monette Michaels, J.D.Robb and the list can go on forever. I am currently rereading Written in Red by Anne Bishop. I love love this series. Murder of Crows is just as awesome!

  2. I love so many series and authors, and Patricia Briggs is one of them. I have read the new Merry Gentry book, A Shiver of Light, after a 5 year hiatus, and I loved it. And some parts not so much.

    • Oh A Shiver of Light is on my TBR list too!!! So you loved it? I’m nervous… WIth such a long wait I hope it’ll be all I hoped for! 🙂 Did it finish the Merry Gentry series or leave it open for more?

      • Nope, no ending at all, but the babies are here (my review will be posted tomorrow) and there are some good things and a shocker thing.
